Hwy2Zion Music - Marcia Alverson
  Ministering theheart of God...

When I was 14 years old, I attended a youth camp, where I "performed" a piano solo on talent night.   Afterward, my youth leader came up and shared with me something the Lord was showing her. She told me that the Lord had a destiny for me as a worshiper, psalmist, and was calling me to worship ministry. It was like my whole life took on purpose and I began to devote my life to God and to growing in knowledge and skill of music & worship.

ONE city-wide worship night - Nov 2011In my college days, my husband, Braeden, and I traveled all over the USA and internationally in a worship band called "Prophets Anonymous".  It was in this season that my heart for Christ's Church grew to a passion, and God birthed in me a desire to equip others as worshipers and for worship leadership.  He captured me with His purpose and has never let go!

Since those days, I've taught worship to hundreds+ people both in the theology of worship and in their development of musical skill. I taught music, worship, chapel in K-12 Christian school for 8 years, and most recently have been teaching in Bible colleges/ministry vocational schools including Charis Bible College andNew Life School of Worship. I've been involved in worship ministry as a worship leader, singer, musician, band director, vocal director, choir director, and enjoy leading worship for God's people.  I particularly enjoy prayer venues and free flowing prophetic times where we enter into worship and allow the Holy Spirit to speak deeper into our lives..

Its never been a goal of mine to promote myself...and so I find great delight in watching the Lord open doors for ministry. These are the ways I'm able to minister as qualified by the grace of God, some education, and a lot of experience!

My heart is that YOU would grow in the knowledge of the depth of God's absolute love for you. God is PASSIONATE that we learn to be worshipers on earth! It is in our capacity to connect with Him that we gain a healthy relationship with the Lord, and maintain proper perspective of life and others.

I am SO GRATEFUL for the Lord's Presence in my life
and the role that worship has in keeping me close to His heart.
